Who is Harshit Singh Chouhan?
Harshit Singh Chouhan is a freelance developer and designer based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, who builds websites, web apps, Android and iOS apps, custom software, UI/UX and 3D web experiences. His work includes the official website and CRM for PIFFI (People’s International Film Festival of India), a factory ERP for a uniform manufacturer, and two apps on Google Play.
How do I hire a freelance web or app developer in India?
Send a short message through the contact form at harshitchouhan.com/contact with what you want to build, your timeline and a rough budget. You get a reply within 24 hours, then a short call, then a fixed written quote with milestones. Work starts once you approve it.
Why hire a freelancer instead of an agency?
You talk directly to the person designing and building your product, so nothing is lost in hand-offs, decisions are faster and there is no agency overhead in the price. You still get a clear process: a scope, weekly previews, written updates and a proper handover.
Which places do you work with?
I am based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where I can also meet local clients in person, and I work remotely with clients across India — including Bengaluru (Bangalore), Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi NCR (Delhi, Gurugram / Gurgaon and Noida) — plus Dubai and the UK. Calls are on India Standard Time, overlapped with UK or UAE hours when a project needs it.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes. Dubai and the UK are regular, and I overlap with other time zones for calls when a project needs it. International clients pay by bank transfer.
Can I see testimonials or references?
Most of my client work is under NDA, so there are no public testimonials yet. The case studies show live projects you can open yourself, and on a call I can walk you through more work privately.
Do we need to be in the same city?
No. You get a weekly call, a live preview link and a written update whether you are in Bengaluru, Dubai, the UK or anywhere else.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. I am happy to sign an NDA before you share details, as I already do for client work like the Dubai real-estate platform.
What do I need to get started?
Just an idea and a goal. Send a message with what you want to build and I will reply with questions and next steps. Examples of sites or apps you like help, but are not required.
Cost & payment
How much does a website or app cost?
Small projects start around $100. A typical website, app, software or game project averages about $400. SaaS products and large client builds are usually $1,000 and up. Clients in India are quoted in rupees. After a short call you get a fixed quote in writing, so the price does not change unless the scope does.
Do you charge a fixed price or by the hour?
Most projects are a fixed price with clear milestones. Ongoing work can be a monthly retainer, and code reviews, audits or consulting are billed hourly.
How do payments work?
Usually an advance to book the project, then payments tied to milestones, with the final payment at launch. Payments are by bank transfer, including international bank transfers. Every milestone has something you can see and test before you pay for it.
Do you accept international payments?
Yes. Clients outside India (Dubai, the UK and elsewhere) pay by international bank transfer.
Are there hidden costs?
No. The quote lists everything. Third-party costs such as your domain, hosting, paid plugins or app store fees are paid by you directly and are explained up front.
Process & timeline
How long does a project take?
A marketing website usually takes 2–4 weeks and a web or mobile app 6–12 weeks. You get an exact timeline with the quote, and a live preview link every week.
What is your process?
Four steps: Discover (a call to agree goals, scope, timeline and price), Design (flows and clickable prototypes), Build (weekly milestones with preview links) and Launch (deployment, domain, analytics, handover and support).
How will I know how the project is going?
You get a live preview link you can open any time, a written update every week and a call when you need one. You never have to chase for progress.
Can you redesign or fix an existing product?
Absolutely. Audits, redesigns, performance fixes and new features on existing codebases are common projects.
Technology
Will my website show up on Google and in AI answers like Gemini and ChatGPT?
Every site I build is made to be found: each page is prerendered as real HTML, has its own title and description, structured data (Schema.org), a sitemap and fast Core Web Vitals, and AI crawlers are allowed in. That gives Google, Bing, Gemini and ChatGPT clean content to read. Ranking also needs good content over time, and I show you how to add it.
Which technologies do you use?
React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js for the web; Laravel / PHP for content-heavy sites and CRMs; Flutter, React Native and Kotlin for mobile; Tauri, Rust and Electron for desktop; Three.js and WebGL for 3D; and Figma for design. I choose the stack that suits your project and your team.
Can you build Android and iOS apps?
Yes. I build cross-platform apps in Flutter or React Native, add native Kotlin where needed, and publish to Google Play and the App Store. Two of my own apps, Hueyear and Memory Master GO, are live on Google Play.
Can you build an ERP or CRM for my business?
Yes. I have built a factory ERP (orders, production, barcode labels, inventory, attendance) and a custom Laravel CRM for a film festival. Custom systems follow your real process instead of forcing you to change it.
After launch
Who owns the code and designs?
You do. Once the project is paid, all source code, design files and assets are yours, and you can host them wherever you want.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Every project includes a support period after launch for fixes. After that you can book a monthly retainer for updates, new features and maintenance, or call on me when you need something.
Will you set up hosting and the domain?
Yes. I can deploy to your hosting (Hostinger, Vercel, AWS or others), connect your domain, set up SSL, email, analytics and Google Search Console, and explain everything in a handover document.
